This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you use Orenala or visit hawaiithreelabs.com.1. Information Orenala processesAccount and profile informationOrenala creates an account so your plans and connections can work across sessions. We may process an internal user identifier, your chosen display name, and account or authentication information.If you choose to protect or recover your account using Apple or Google, those providers may give us an account identifier and, depending on the provider and your settings, an email address or related authentication information.Private planning inputWhen you tell Orenala what sounds good, we store the planning input needed to create and update your plan.In shared planning, your raw planning input is private: the other person in the Planning Space cannot read what you typed. Orenala processes the participants' private inputs on the server to create one shared plan.Plans, places, and HistoryWe process generated plans, plan dates, planning areas or ZIP codes, selected or dismissed places, saved items, replacements, plan outcomes, plan History, and similar information needed to make a plan usable and durable.A shared plan and its non-private plan details can be visible to the people in that Planning Space.For a shared Planning Space, Orenala uses one shared planning area. Either participant may explicitly update or remove that area, and the updated area can be visible to and used for recommendations for both participants.Taste and product interactionsOrenala can privately learn from actions such as saving an option, marking something Not for me, exploring or replacing a stop, and marking a plan Did it.We use these interactions to maintain private Taste signals and affinities that can personalize future recommendations. Your raw Taste profile is not shown to your connections.Location informationIf you allow foreground location access, Orenala may temporarily use your device's precise location on the device to determine nearby context, identify an approximate planning area, or show distance information.Orenala does not intentionally store those precise device coordinates in our backend for these features.For remote recommendation processing, Orenala sends approximate location context such as a city, region, country, or ZIP code.You can also choose to enter a ZIP code instead of using device location.In a shared Planning Space, choosing to use your current location may convert your foreground location into an approximate shared planning area, such as a ZIP code. Orenala does not share your raw device coordinates with the other participant.Invitations and connectionsWe process connection membership, invitation tokens or codes, invite status, and related timestamps so users can create, accept, decline, cancel, and manage Orenala connections and Planning Spaces.Shared plan linksIf you choose to share a plan, Orenala creates an opaque public-by-link snapshot containing limited plan information such as the title, date label, plan text, and selected stops.The shared snapshot does not include raw private planning input, your Taste profile, or member identity fields.Anyone who has the link may be able to view the shared snapshot until the link expires or is revoked. Orenala share links normally expire after 30 days.Notifications and device informationIf you enable notifications, we process an installation identifier, push token, platform, notification-permission status, app version, and delivery information needed to send and troubleshoot notifications.Notification text may contain limited plan or activity details and may be visible on your device's lock screen depending on your device settings.Diagnostics and security informationWe may process limited application error information, such as an error message or stack trace, app version, platform, and limited technical context.We also maintain server-side rate-limit, security, caching, and delivery records needed to protect and operate the service.Website and communicationsWhen you visit hawaiithreelabs.com, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, and request logs needed to deliver and secure the site.If you email us, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.2. How we use informationWe use information to:• create, maintain, secure, and recover Orenala accounts
• generate, personalize, update, save, share, and restore plans
• provide nearby recommendations and distance information
• operate shared Planning Spaces, connections, invitations, and notifications
• maintain private Taste and improve the relevance of recommendations
• prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, debug errors, and maintain reliability
• respond to support requests and other communications
• comply with legal obligations and protect our users, service, and rights
• evaluate and improve Orenala's functionality and user experienceWe do not sell personal information.We do not use Orenala data for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Orenala does not use Apple's AppTrackingTransparency framework for advertising tracking.3. Service providers and disclosuresWe disclose information only as reasonably necessary to operate Orenala, at your direction, or as required by law.Current categories of providers include:• Supabase, for database hosting, authentication, server functions, and related infrastructure
• OpenAI, for AI-assisted plan generation, recommendation processing, and associated search capabilities
• Expo and Apple Push Notification service (APNs), for push-notification delivery on iOS
• Apple and Google, when you choose those services for account authentication or recovery
• website hosting, infrastructure, security, and communications providers used to operate hawaiithreelabs.com and support Hawaii Three LabsOpenAI states that data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default unless the business customer affirmatively opts in. Provider security or abuse-prevention systems may retain limited information according to their own terms and our account configuration.We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.4. Data visibilityOrenala is designed around different levels of visibility:• Private to you: raw planning input you submit, private Taste signals, and certain personal History and completion controls
• Shared with your Planning Space: the generated plan, shared planning area, and plan details intended for the participants in that Planning Space
• Public by link when you choose to share: the limited plan snapshot associated with a live share link
• Server-only: operational records such as rate limits, certain recommendation caches, diagnostics, and notification delivery records5. RetentionWe retain durable account information, plans, shared plan History, and private Taste while your account remains active unless you use an in-product control that removes or resets that information.Orenala also applies shorter retention periods to operational data that does not need to remain indefinitely.Our intended production retention includes approximately:• public plan-share links: until expiration, normally 30 days, or revocation, followed by deletion
• client error reports: 30 days
• active rate-limit records: 2 days after last use
• push delivery receipts: 30 days
• push-notification event and idempotency records: 90 days
• recommendation exploration and place-enrichment caches: 30 days after last use
• stale push-device registrations: 180 days after last seenExpired or resolved invitation records are periodically removed after they are no longer operationally necessary.Database backups and provider security logs can temporarily contain copies after information is deleted from the live service. Those copies are isolated from normal application use and age out according to the relevant backup or provider retention schedule.For example, Supabase backup retention depends on the production project's plan and backup configuration.6. Your controls and choicesStart OverStart over is a reset control, not account deletion.It ends current connections and clears several personal Orenala signals so the product can feel new again, while keeping the underlying Orenala account or sign-in identity.Delete AccountYou can permanently delete your Orenala account inside the app under:Settings → Advanced settings → Reset & data → Delete accountAccount deletion removes your active Orenala account and private or account-specific application data, including raw private planning input, Taste, invitations involving your account, push registration, and share links you created.Deleting your account ends active shared Planning Spaces.Another participant may retain a generated shared plan in their own History because that plan is also part of their Orenala history. Your raw private input, account membership, direct account identifiers, and private Taste are removed.Orenala does not rewrite shared plan text that was already visible to the other participant.If you used Sign in with Apple, Apple may separately retain the fact that you previously authorized Orenala until that authorization is revoked through Apple. You can manage apps using Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.Location and planning areaYou can deny or revoke Orenala's location permission in iOS Settings.You can use a ZIP code for the recommendation area instead of device location where available.You can also change or remove a manually selected planning area from Orenala. Removing an area does not require Location Services to be enabled.For a shared Planning Space, the planning area is shared between participants, while each person's iOS location permission remains individual to that person's device.NotificationsYou can control Orenala notification permission and lock-screen presentation through iOS Settings.Privacy requestsDepending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other choices regarding personal information.You can contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because Orenala does not engage in those practices, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise for Orenala at this time.7. SecurityWe use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.No security system is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.8. ChildrenOrenala is not directed to children under 13, and Hawaii Three Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through an Orenala account.If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at [email protected].9. International processingHawaii Three Labs is based in the United States.Our service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate, subject to their contractual and legal safeguards.10. Last updated: September 7, 2026Orenala is designed to give you direct control over the information used to make your plans more useful.Delete your Orenala accountIn Orenala, go to:Settings → Advanced settings → Reset & data → Delete accountDeleting your account permanently removes your Orenala account and private or account-specific application data from the live service.This includes raw private planning input, your profile, private Taste signals, invitations involving your account, push registration, and public plan links you created.Deleting an account also ends active shared Planning Spaces.Another participant may retain a generated shared plan in their History because that plan is also part of their Orenala history. Your account membership, direct account identifiers, raw private input, and private Taste are removed.Orenala does not rewrite shared plan text that was already visible to the other participant.If you cannot access the app or deletion does not complete, contact [email protected] for help.Start OverStart over is not account deletion.It is useful when you want Orenala to feel new again while keeping the same underlying account. Effective date: September 7, 2026These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Hawaii Three Labs LLC ("Hawaii Three Labs," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of Orenala, hawaiithreelabs.com, and related services (collectively, the "Services").By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.1. OrenalaOrenala helps people turn private preferences and context into plans and recommendations.Orenala may use automated and artificial-intelligence systems to create plan suggestions, identify places, and adapt recommendations.Orenala's recommendations are suggestions, not guarantees.Venue availability, hours, pricing, admission requirements, travel times, accessibility, weather, safety conditions, and other real-world information can change.You are responsible for confirming important details and deciding whether a plan or recommendation is appropriate for you.2. Hawaii Three Labs websiteThe Hawaii Three Labs website provides information about Hawaii Three Labs, Orenala, our products, support resources, legal information, and ways to contact us.Website content is provided for general informational purposes and may change from time to time.You may not misuse hawaiithreelabs.com, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, scrape or overload the site in an abusive manner, or use website content in violation of applicable law or Hawaii Three Labs' intellectual-property rights.Links to third-party websites or services may be provided for convenience. Hawaii Three Labs does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or practices.3. EligibilityYou must be legally able to enter into these Terms.Orenala is not directed to children under 13.If you use the Services on behalf of an organization or another legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.4. Your accountOrenala may initially create an account automatically so plans and connections can work across sessions.You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and any Apple or Google account you use to protect or recover Orenala.Do not attempt to access another person's account or private planning input.You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by Hawaii Three Labs' own failure to use reasonable security measures.You may delete your account through the in-app account-deletion control.Additional information is available in the Orenala Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices page.5. Shared planning and invitationsOrenala lets users create connections and shared Planning Spaces.Do not invite, connect with, impersonate, or repeatedly contact someone through Orenala in a way that is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or unwanted.Private planning input is intended to remain private from other participants.The generated shared plan and other shared plan details, including the Planning Space's selected planning area, may be visible to the participants in that Planning Space.Either participant may be able to update shared plan details made editable by Orenala.6. Shared plan linksIf you create a plan-share link, you direct Orenala to make the limited shared snapshot accessible to anyone who possesses that link until it expires or is revoked.Do not create or distribute a share link containing information you do not want recipients of the link to see.Recipients may copy or redistribute information they can view.7. Acceptable useYou may not:• use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harassing, or harmful activity
• interfere with, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass security or rate limits except as permitted by applicable law
• access or attempt to access another user's private data without authorization
• use automated means to create abusive traffic or accounts
• upload or transmit malicious code
• use the Services in a way that violates another person's rightsWe may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Services, Hawaii Three Labs, or comply with law.8. Third-party services and placesOrenala relies on third-party infrastructure and information providers and may recommend independent venues, businesses, events, or services.Hawaii Three Labs does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their acts, omissions, products, prices, availability, policies, or safety.Your use of Apple, Google, OpenAI-powered features, third-party venues, and other third-party products or services may also be subject to their own terms and policies.Alcohol-related recommendationsOrenala may occasionally suggest venues or activities where alcoholic beverages are available.Orenala does not sell alcohol or determine whether you are legally eligible to purchase or consume it.You are responsible for complying with the legal drinking age and other applicable laws where you are located.9. Intellectual propertyThe Services, including Orenala's software, branding, design, website content, and other materials provided by Hawaii Three Labs, are owned by Hawaii Three Labs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.Subject to these Terms, Hawaii Three Labs gives you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purposes.You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, commercially exploit, or otherwise use Hawaii Three Labs content except as permitted by law or with our written permission.You retain rights you have in information you submit.You grant Hawaii Three Labs a limited license to host, process, transmit, transform, and display that information only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.10. FeedbackIf you voluntarily provide feedback or suggestions about the Services, you may do so without restriction or compensation obligation, and we may use that feedback to improve our products, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without permission.11. SeverabilityIf any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.19. No waiverIf Hawaii Three Labs does not enforce a provision of these Terms in a particular instance, that does not waive our right to enforce that provision or any other provision later.20. AssignmentYou may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.Hawaii Three Labs may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction, or by operation of law.21. Entire agreementThese Terms, together with any policies or terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hawaii Three Labs regarding the Services and supersede prior agreements concerning the same subject matter.22. Apple-specific termsIf you obtain Orenala through Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Hawaii Three Labs, not Apple.Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for Orenala.Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as they relate to your App Store use and, upon your acceptance of these Terms, may enforce the applicable provisions against you.23.
